Working with interfaith couples and families serves as a core part of my work as a rabbi. While my current professional duties do not give me much time to do many lifecycle events outside my own synagogue community, I am very happy to connect you to rabbis and cantors in the Boston area. In fact, I specialize in making such referrals for couples and families! I am the Director of the Jewish Discovery Institute. For those looking for a more in-depth introduction to Jewish learning and community, I highly recommend our Pathways to Judaism program. While this program provides full support for those exploring conversion, we welcome all who are interested in learning more about Judaism regardless of one's desire to convert.
My Policies - I recommend pre-marital counseling for couples I’m marrying but I don’t require it
Shabbat policy - I do not officiate lifecycle events on Shabbat
The union of a couple is always a celebratory event. Please be aware that Conservative Movement rabbis are only permitted to officiate at the marriage of two members of the Jewish faith. That said, I am happy to meet with all couples contemplating marriage and to help you find the rabbi or cantor that is the right fit for you to officiate your ceremony.
