Hanukkah Candle Lighting and Blessings

Hanukkah candle blessings are significant for reminding people of their duty to transform the darkness of the world into light. The candles are admired during Hanukkah and are placed in a public setting so everyone can share in the blessings. As the candles burn, individuals call out the darkness existing among ourselves. They remind themselves that we all have a divine spark within us. And it is our duty to ensure it prevails and spreads the light across the world.

When lighting the Hanukkah menorah, there are two blessings to say each night. Play the video below and click on the red dot to see the blessings.
