To Tree or Not To Tree: Navigating the December Holidays (National) – Online

December 7 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EST

The December holiday season can and should be joyful, but it can also bring up tensions for interfaith families. Join Rabbi Stephanie Crawley and other interfaith couples to discuss how you can navigate the winter holidays in a safe and supportive space. Many couples face similar questions around decision-making, and we can learn from one another. Rabbi Stephanie, an 18Doors Rukin Rabbinic Fellow, who herself grew up in an interfaith family, has both personal and professional experience and advice for navigating this time of year with compassion and understanding.
This program is intended for interfaith couples. There will be opportunities for conversation with your partner so it is important that both partners be in attendance.

Stephanie CrawleyMeet Rabbi Stephanie Crawley

Rabbi Stephanie Crawley is the Associate Rabbi at Temple Micah in Washington, DC, and co-leader of the Micah Storefront Project. She was ordained in 2018 by HUC-JIR (NY), where she was a Tisch Rabbinical Fellow, and is an alumna of Case Western Reserve University. Whether teaching, leading song-filled prayer, creating new rituals, engaging in justice work, or providing spiritual counseling, her ongoing project is to be a rabbi who is rooted, hopeful and fully human. Rabbi Crawley spends her free time writing poetry, reading and watching nature cameras.

From a devoted interfaith family herself, Stephanie is excited to connect with all those who seek meaning and inspiration through Judaism.
