Who We Are

We’re 18Doors, the only national Jewish non-profit laser focused on understanding, connecting with and communicating the needs of interfaith couples and families where one spouse is Jewish, and one has another spiritual or religious background. 18Doors has a website full of essays, advice, resources and recipes; programs for interfaith couples and families; a Jewish clergy referral service; rabbinic fellowship program and professional development for Jewish leaders, professionals and organizations—all focused on helping couples and families to connect and build the Jewish life they want.

Who You Are

You are a social media manager, editor, or community manager with experience framing, creating, and posting optimized and branded Jewish content across most social media platforms. You know how to create eye-catching posts that both keep to brand standards and appeal to niche audiences. You can manage posting to several social media accounts simultaneously and know the best, up-to-date sharing practices for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. You know how to both measure the success of social campaigns and provide analytical insight into improving them, as well as know how to increase engagement, clickability, and shareability of content.

You have experience managing Facebook groups and engaging in niche and highly-specialized digital communities with meaningful community engagement techniques. You are highly communicative, professional, and familiar with social media marketing tools like Facebook’s Creative Studio, Planoly, Loomly, and analytical tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights. Lastly, you have some knowledge of Jewish culture and customs and are eager to learn more about the Jewish professional world and unique needs of interfaith couples and families.

You will work closely with the Chief Digital Strategy Officer and Senior Content Manager & SEO Specialist to frame content for couples, families, and individuals who identify with being Jewish and interfaith. Knowledge of video creation for social accounts like Instagram and TikTok a big plus.

We want our team to reflect the diversity of our world, and of interfaith couples and families. 18Doors is committed to diversifying our employees and welcomes applications from those groups that have historically been underrepresented in our organization—people of color, people with disabilities and LGBTQ people.
