We’re 18Doors, the only national Jewish non-profit laser focused on understanding, connecting with and communicating the needs of interfaith couples and families where one spouse is Jewish, and one has another spiritual or religious background. 18Doors has a website full of essays, advice, resources and recipes; programs for interfaith couples and families; a Jewish clergy referral service; rabbinic fellowship program and professional development for Jewish leaders, professionals and organizations—all focused on helping couples and families to connect and build the Jewish life they want.
Who You Are
You are an SEO specialist, editor or manager with experience optimizing content for organic search and improving websites’ rankings on search engines like Google. You know how to find popular and relevant keywords most used across search engines and can both execute and provide key analyses of SEO campaigns. You are highly communicative, professional and know how to manage and establish realistic goals related to optimization.
You will work closely with the Director of Content and Director of Audience Engagement to optimize pre-existing content designed to help couples and families feel more confident in being Jewish. Content will range from short essays, listicles and recipes to general landing pages across our website. You will be expected to research applicable keywords, update content and provide analyses on your findings. An understanding of liberal Jewish culture and familiarity with concepts and holidays is a plus, but not required.

Optimize pre-existing content to increase organic search and ranking results.
Edit content on Jewish subject matter as necessary, without losing integrity of original writer’s voice or accuracy of information.
Implement optimization strategies across whole 18Doors website, including landing pages.
Research SEO keywords to use across website and within content.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics to determine ranking success.
Set realistic and aspirational goals related to organic search performance.
Efficiently communicate with internal team on findings.
Experience & Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in successfully developing and executing SEO campaign strategies
Understanding of search engine algorithms and organic rankings
Comfortable executing and analyzing search engine strategies
Basic understanding of coding, e.g. HTML or CSS
Strong writing and communication skills
Sufficient familiarity with WordPress and Google Analytics
Working knowledge of keyword search and SEO industry tools like SEMRush or Ahrefs is a plus
